So based off of the DOTA idea I have a rough writeup of my combat system. It's based off of invoker from dota. It's got a series of triplets like [XYB] or whatever that when used in combination change the effect of the following triplet. For for example if you take [XXX] then in the two following combos the [XXX] triplet does something different;
[YBX][XXX]
[YYX][XXX]
The actual specifics of this are still in development. Tom and Ross are working on some of the story / aesthetic stuff and I've been left to gameplay. I'm going to start developing different types of bad guy to fight but I think this is coming together nicely. Since under Jim's advice we dropped the multiplayer aspect it's really cut down on the design load. Another problem with my combat system is it's probably got over 1k different moves so that's kind of problematic, I'm sure I'll get a solution. I dunno.
And I need to make bad guys, almost like people want me to do work! :D
